NEIGHBOURHOOD
The lodge located in Nordvik surrounded by sea and mountains. It is ca 10 minutes drive from the regional municipal centre Skei which offers extensive selection of shops and other facilities. There is also a small supermarket in Nordvik for last minute essentials

ACTIVITIES
The area is famed for its mountains and salmon fishing rivers (3 salmon rivers within 15 minute drive from the lodge. In the summer its a walkers and fishermen's paradise. In autumn, there is walked up grouse and elk and deer hunting. In the winter, the mountains offer downhill, extensive touring and cross-country skiing.

FOOD
For a small community, Norvik offers many excellent dinning options. SVINVIK GARD (www.svinvikgard.no) is a short walk from the lodge is considered one of the up and coming national Norwegian restaurants. TODALHYTTA (todalshytta.no) is a historic lodge built by the english for fishing in 1901. It offers salmon fishing, hunting and good home cooked food.
SLETTNESET BAKERY is a stone oven bakery run by local bakers and offers sourdough breads and cakes. Its a short walk or kayak ride from the lodge
